Social Security
I’m amazed that so many people don’t understand why politicians don’t want private accounts for our young people.
The reason is that politicians have been using the S.S. funds for a “cash cow” for all of their agenda items that need money for funding. They simply “borrow” the money from the S.S. account, and put in an IOU that future generations are going to have to pay back with interest. If our young people had this money in some kind of “private account,” those politicians wouldn’t be able to use it.
They are not worried about me and my elderly friends’ Social Security funds. They’re worried about how they will lose an important source of funding for their favorite projects that they can put their name on and say “Wow, see what I did for you voters.” If they had been placing the S.S. funds into a market for foreigners to borrow from, at least we would be getting a fair rate of interest return, and there would have been no Social Security emergency. There would have been plenty of money for benefits for everyone, but no, they wanted the government to borrow that money for their pet projects. And now it all has to be paid back by the working, taxpaying public.
Wise up people. Get on the “private account” bandwagon for your children and grandchildren’s sake.
