Estrellita C. ‘Ester’ Patricio
Estrellita C. “Ester” Patricio of Kekaha died at the Queen’s Medical Center on April 15, 2005, at the age of 63.
Born in Makinabang, Baliuag, Bulacan, Philippines on July 10, 1941, she was a retired custodian for the County of Kauai (Waimea Neighborhood Center).
Preceded in death by her husband, Faustino “Pat” Patricio Sr.; her parents, Dominador Cruz and Alejandra Fernando Cruz and stepson, Faustino “Paos” Patricio Jr., she is survived by sons: Noel (Joni) Patricio of Lawai and Nelson Patricio of Georgia; stepsons, Fred (Julie) Patricio of Kekaha and Danny (Carmelita) Patricio of Kaumakani; stepdaughter, Amorita Jones of O‘ahu and sister, Lucila Macapagal of the Philippines; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation with her family will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery with services and burial to follow.
Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Nestora Manibog
Nestora “Agnes” Manonog Manibog died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 21, 2005, at the age of 63.
Born in Alburquerque Bohol, Philippines on Feb. 26, 1942, she retired as a Nurses Aid at Mahelona Hospital.
Predeceased by her grand-daughter Kayla Itamura, she is survived by her husband Ignacio “Rudy” Manibog Sr., three sons; Lloyd (Rebecca Smith) Manibog, Arnold (LaRhonda) Manibog, both of Hanamaulu, Ignacio “Jon” (Sally) Manibog Jr. of San Francisco, one daughter; Cheryl (Galen) Itamura of Kalaheo, and seven grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, May 14, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kapaia from 9 a.m.
Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. officiated by Fr. William Shannon.
Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Kapaia.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
Karen Hamblin
Karen Helene Hamblin of Redding, Calif., and formerly of Hanalei, died April 19, 2005, at home at the age of 60.
Born Oct. 28, 1944, in Olympia, Wash., she moved to California from Hanalei, in 2004.
She was an accountant.
She is survived by sons, Marc of Shingletown and Dale of Anderson; daughter Sharon of Hanalei; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Hanalei Pier.

Margaret Pacheco
Margaret Pacheco of Kilauea, died April 25, 2005, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 92.
Born June 2, 1912, in Lisbon, Portugal, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by four daughters: Dorothy (Fred) Quinn of Kilauea, Peggy (Bob) Ridlett of California, Lucille (Don) Baker of California and Gwendolyn (Ed) Rathbun of California; three sons: Richard (Barbara) Pacheco of California, Alvin Pacheco of California and William (Linda) Pacheco of Oregon; one brother: Joseph Milho of O‘ahu and one sister: Mary Botelho of O‘ahu; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, at St. Sylvester’s Church in Kilauea where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Burial to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.

Eugenio Papa
Eugenio Ratuita Papa of ‘Ele‘ele, died April 24, 2005, at Garden Isle Healthcare at the age of 87.
Born Sept. 6, 1917, in Iriga City, Philippines, he was a farmer with Medeiros Egg Farm.
Preceded in death by his wife Norberta Papa and son Eugenio Papa Jr., he is survived by 10 children: Terry (Inocencio) Sagucio of ‘Ele‘ele; Alicia Papa of Indiana, Hermie (Don) Papa of Puhi, Joe (Becky) Papa of Puhi, Tim (Celeste) Papa of ‘Ele‘ele, Janeta (Julius) Harrios of the Philippines, Roberto (Jocelyn) Papa of Puhi, Clemante (Marie) Papa of Kapa‘a, Nina (Ben) Cafiles of ‘Ele‘ele and Cezar (Susan) Papa of Hanapepe; grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Family and friends may call on Friday, April 29, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, April 30, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Father Nap.
Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.

Thelma Kaui
Thelma “Tootsie” Roselani Kaui of Kapahi died on April 20, 2005 at Straub Hospital on O‘ahu at the age of 68.
She was born on Dec. 23, 1936, in Keapana. For many years she was an LPN at Wilcox Memorial Hospital and retired from Kauai Medical Clinic in Kapa‘a as an LPN and a Facilitator.
She is survived by her husband Joaquin Freitas of Kapahi, two sons; Randall (Mieko) Kaui of Molokai, Carl (Cathy) Kaui of Kapahi, stepdaughter: Dianne Nunes of Minnesota, brother: Chang Kaui of Hanama‘ulu, three sisters: Elsie Kaui (Francis) Pahia of Anahola, Sarah Kaui Berthelman of Honolulu, Bessie Kaui Laster of California; 10 grandchildren, two great-grand-children, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday April 30, from 8 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Kapaa Ward II.
Services will begin at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Kapaia.
