Light on traffic lights
Boy, oh boy! I wonder if Mr. Marion knew what a can of worms he opened up on this subject. I too read the suggestion by Mr. Arruda and agree with Cheryl O’ Brien. Raising the posted speed limit just won’t work. I don’t think I’m the only one who thinks this is shortsighted idea.
Anyone who frequents the Coco Palms/Shell area knows that speeding and redlight running is a serious concern there. There is simply too much foot traffic. Cheryl hit it right on the head, it takes careful planning to figure out a workable solution for everybody, and it will surely be a compromise. I can’t help but think. If solutions to our traffic problems were really, really that simple, wouldn’t something have been done by now?
