Roadside spraying
I’m an athletic person with multiple chemical sensitivities. My physical health has been very much affected by the herbicides and pesticides sprayed on Kaua‘i, including the poisoning of our roadsides, trails, and parks. Many times I’ve experienced this in a very personal way, immediately following exposure to the spray.
Several business associates of mine are also very much affected. So when members of the local “Chemically Injured” group speak up about their personal difficulties, my associates and I recognize what they’re going through. We regard roadside spraying as an abuse of Kaua‘i’s shared life support system and an unnecessary public health burden.
Everyone will breathe easier when we all stop poisoning each other, even when that’s inconvenient. Roadside, park and trail spraying hurts people, and the price is too high to pay. Please help stop it now.

Olohena Bridge I
Have you wondered why the County Council and the Mayor show little interest in a bypass road necessary for the rebuilding of the Olohena Bridge? Do you think it may be because not one of them drive Kamalu, Kuamo‘o or Olohena on their way to work!
Kapa‘a has the largest number of residents in Kaua‘i, but we are being ignored on this issue. I wonder what it is going to take to get their attention. Let your voice be heard. Our roads are not sufficent to handle the increased traffic in this rural area of 25 MPH roads.

Olohena Bridge II
I am very curious as to why it would take up to eighteen months to finish a little tiny bridge on Olohena Road, that is one of the main roads in and out of Wailua, when the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco was completed in less than four years?
The County Council should find a way to finance building the bridge off site and installing it quickly. The inconvenience and expense at today’s gas prices and liability of closing this road is incomprehensible. And the problems for emergency vehicles trying to access narrow, winding roads could be the cause of major liabilities to the County.

Am I biggest genius on island, or everybody else already know and keep big secret ?
