Golf course costs
If the Wailua Golf Course is such an income generator, why is a $237,000 cash infusion needed? And this is called an emergency?
Bus stops with no covered shelters for people (who are elderly, have some difficulties, baby strollers or working two to three jobs) waiting in hot sun, pouring rain; specifically, Hanama‘ulu (where all of you bang on doors for re-election) are real emergencies compared to golfers whining for upgrades.
$237,000 would yield at least 10 shelters.
I’m thankful Mr. Stauber takes the time to oversee the shenanigans, misappropriations and ineptness of county officials while we play golf. It would be far worse without people like him.
$60,000 imported Brazilian wood signs at Lydgate; a couple more boards could have been bus shelters.
Expensive weeds at the airport. Plumeria trees, crown flowers, etc. could have been planted for lei makers who probably would have tended the area.
