Fruto Ibanez of Kapa‘a died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Dec. 18, 2004 at the age of 78.
Born in Banna, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on Sept. 11, 1926, he was a landscaper with the County of Kaua‘i.
He is survived by his wife, Pacita; children, Villamor (Visitacion) Ibanez of Kapa‘a, Mr. and Mrs. Roosevelt Ibanez of Cavite, Philippines, Amorsula Ibanez and Maria Ibanez, both of Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Antonia Chua of Risal, Philippines, and Anita Sugi of Mandaloyon, Risal, Philippines; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel. A service is at 11 a.m., followed by cremation. The family suggests casual attire. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
