There is much housing on the horizon either on lands currently owned by Grove Farm, or on those lands formerly owned by Grove Farm, said Mike Furukawa, company vice president.
Company officials hope to offer lots for sale in the Pikake subdivision, between Kukui Grove Center and Puhi town, as early as next month, he said. Villas at Puali, townhomes under construction now on former Grove Farm land, are being offered for sale now, with construction on at least one of the buildings expected to be completed in the new year.
Regency at Puakea phase two, a second set of assisted-living apartments, is under construction now (those trucks rumbling down Kaneke Street between the existing Regency at Puakea and Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School are bringing loads of dirt to that project), Furukawa said.
And an over-seven-acre site formerly known as “Parcel 4,” located between the existing Hokulei Estates subdivision and the old Puhi residential housing area near Puhi Park, has been sold to leaders of the Self Help Housing Corporation of Hawaii, who plan to develop self-help housing units there, he said.
