With Christmas less than a week away, the girls in green acted grinch-like in their performance yesterday against the first-place Red Raiders, with a 2-1 win after trailing 1-0 at the half.

Kapa‘a’s Tiana Kunioka and Britney Carvalho came up big with a goal a piece. With the win, Kaua‘i and Kapa‘a are now deadlocked at 2-1, with Waimea still searching for its first win.
The boys varsity match was even tighter and ended in a 1-1 tie. Masai Bell scored the only goal for Kapa‘a in the first half and Kaleo Baxter managed to answer late in the second half.
Kaua‘i (1-1-1) and Waimea (1-0-1) are now tied with four points each. Kapa‘a has two points on the season.
Kaua‘i took both JV matches with the boys winning 2-1 and the girls dominating 4-0.
Micah Alayvilla and Seth Quisel notched the two Kaua‘i goals and Daniel Rodrick netted the only Warrior score.
