After falling in the first two sets, the University of Hawai‘i Wahine volleyball squad came back with a vengeance, but too many costly errors put them to rest against the Wisconsin Badgers, who took the regional semifinal game in five grueling sets, 31-29, 30-23, 22-30, 28-30, 21-19, yesterday in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Hawai‘i stormed back with two impressive performances in games three and four.
In game five, Hawai‘i had many chances to win the match, but the Badgers wouldn’t go away and eventually out hustled the Rainbow Wahine for the win.
Wisconsin moves on to the regional finals against Stanford today, but for UH, a long trip back to Honlulu awaits them.
