Rufus L. Kaui Jr.
Rufus Luehu Kaui Jr., of Kapahi, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 18, 2004, at the age of 61. Born in Honolulu on Sept. 28, 1943, he was a boat captain, construction worker and life-long entertainer. He was also the owner of Polynesian Hideaway and Kaui’s Karaoke. He is survived by his wife, Henrirose Kawahineheleikeoulilani Kaui; two sons, Llewellyn (Pomai) Kaui of Hilo and Shane (Dawndee) Kaui of Barrow, Alaska; four daughters, Arleen (Allen) Kuwamura of Kapa‘a, Charmaine (Dennis) Della Bona of California, Keahi‘opele (Mike) Kaui Dowling of Kapa‘a, and Stenet Ka‘ohunani (Peter) Hartz of Tennessee; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, James (Lydia) Kaui Sr. and Elton (Lani) Kaui both of Kapa‘a; two sisters, Linda (Albert) Genegabuas of Kapa‘a and Elaine Teves of Kona; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel. The service is scheduled at 11 a.m., followed by burial at the Lihue Cemetery.

Solidad “Sally” Garcia
Solidad “Sally” Garcia of Hanama‘ulu died at her residence Nov. 20, 2004, at the age of 78. A homemaker, she was born in Honolulu Nov. 16, 1926.
Preceded in death by her husband William Garcia, she is survived by two sons, Leonard (Janie) Garcia of Honolulu, Aaron (Shari) Garcia of Lihu‘e, three daughters, Sheila (Jerry) Louis of Hanapepe, Charmaine (Greg) Santos of Hanama‘ulu, and Doreen (Henry “Hank”) Ibia of Lihu‘e, two sisters, Shirley (Antone) Parraga of Kekaha, and Yolanda Delostrico of Hanama‘ulu, a brother, Joseph Delostrico of Hanama‘ulu; 20 grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 27 at 8:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Kapaia, with mass to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., and burial to follow at the Immaculate Conception Church cemetery. The family suggests casual attire.

Elena Visitacion
Elena Mendoza Visitacion of Kaumakani, died at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home on Nov. 22, 2004 at the age of 88.
Born in Bacarra Ilocos Norte, Philippines on June 5, 1916, she was a homemaker.
Preceded in death by husband, Modesto F. Visitacion, she is survived by her children, Irenio (Maddy) Visitacion of Pearl City, O‘ahu, Sarah (George) Paiste of Kekaha, Francisco Visitacion of Kaumakani, Esther (Placido) Espino of Makakilo, Oahu, Alfredo (Lourdes) Visitacion of Fremont, Calif., Jaime (Carol) Visitacion of Fresno, Calif., and John (Brenda) Visitacion of ‘Ele‘ele; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maura Cadiz of Philippines and Consuelo Baniaga of Kaumakani; brother, Florendo Mendoza of Los Angeles, Calif.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 8-10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, at the West Kauai United Methodist Church; service officiated by Pastor James Brooking will begin at 10 a.m. Followed by burial at the Hanapepe Public Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Edna Marjorie Taylor
Edna Marjorie Taylor of Kalaheo, died at Waimea, Kauai on Nov. 19, 2004 at the age of 95.
Born in Weroroa, Levin, New Zealand on Jan. 14, 1909, she was a teacher in performing arts and music.
She is survived by three sons, Peter (Diana) Taylor of Kalaheo, Bill Taylor of Honolulu and Tony Taylor of England; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Funeral service officiated by Kahu Nani Hill will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, at the Koloa Union Church. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
