The KSC-East used speed and ball control to erupt for a 7-0 win over the Chicks Who Rip in the Girls Under 14 championships, Sunday at the North Vidinha soccer fields.
Despite a strong defensive struggle in the opening quadrant, the girls in yellow erupted for scores, capitalizing on their strong passing skills to weave through the Chicks’ defense enroute to their victory.
The Kaua‘i Soccer Assocation (KSA) wrapped up their Fall season with the championship matches that were played to a good audience who took advantage of clear weather intermingled with showers brought in by the gusty winds.
The Lihu‘e Hawaiian Heat nudged the Lihu‘e Boyz, 2-1 in the Under 8 competition while the Lihu‘e Cougars pounced on Motiv-8 Ha‘aheo, 9-1 in the Under 10 title fight.
Motiv-8 rolled over KSC-Imua, 7-1 in the Under 12 division.
The Motiv-8 A squad was 9-3 better than the Motiv-8 B team in the Boys Under 16 crown fight, and the KSC-East, improving throughout the season, closed with a 7-5 win over Motiv-8 Kupono.
