Albert Samio
Albert Samio of Las Vegas, Nev., and formerly of Waimea Valley; died Oct. 4, 2004, in Honolulu, at the age of 66.
Born Feb. 6, 1938, in Honolulu, he was a cable supervisor.
Preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Samio, he is survived by eight children: Raynette (John) Kagawa, Roxanne (Darryl) Callahan, Ronald (Conchita) Samio, Rochelle Samio, Roderick (Valerie) Samio, Rhonda (Lawrence) Kapuniai, Reid (Racquel) Samio, and Roslynn Samio; three sisters: Evelyn (Hanalei) Matthews, Angie De Silva, and Mary Windham, all of Honolulu; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16, at St. Theresa’s Church in Kekaha where memorial services will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
Aloha attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.

Nancy Meiko Caracoes of Lihu‘e, died Oct. 3, 2004, at her home at the age of 83.
Born Oct. 25, 1920, in Kealia, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter: JoAnn (Stephen) Rapozo of Kapa‘a; one son: Anthony “Nick” Caracoes of Lihu‘e; two brothers: Larry Yamaguchi of California and Yoshito (Margaret) Yamaguchi of Kapa‘a; two sisters: Sue (Sadao) Muramaru of Hilo and Fay (Bill) Sollner of Kansas; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Private services were held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kapaia on Friday, Oct. 8. Burial was held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
