Laverne Bessert of Kapa‘a made it past security and the horde of Grove Farm Company personnel and politicians to personally thank Steve Case, owner of Grove Farm, Lihue Land Company and founder of America Online, for his donations to Kaua‘i Habitat for Humanity.
Case was on the island for the blessing and rededication of Kukui Grove Center after the multi-million-dollar renovation.
Bessert, a real-estate professional and longtime Kaua‘i Habitat for Humanity board member, offered Case a “sincere mahalo nui loa” for his foundation’s generous donation to help Habitat build homes across the state and on Kaua‘i.
