Tadao ‘Joe’ Tsuyama
Tadao “Joe” Tsuyama of Waimea died at home on July 22, 2004, at the age of 91.
Born in ‘Ele‘ele on Jan. 28, 1913, he was a laborer with Waimea Sugar Co.
He is survived by his wife, Yukiko of Waimea; son, Paul (Fran) Tsuyama of Pueblo, Colo.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Teruo Matsuda and James Shemitsu Matsuda, both of Honolulu, O‘ahu; sister, Fusae Jyo of Honolulu, O‘ahu; three sisters-in-law, Midori Tsuyama, Bessie Tsuyama and Tokiwa Tsuyama, all of Honolulu, Oahu; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service officiated by Rev. Fujimori will begin at 11 a.m. on Tues., July 27, at the Waimea Higashi Hongwanji. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
