Tada, Matsuyoshi nail holes-in-one
Alan Tada of Wailua made a hole-in-one at Wailua Golf Course’s 17th hole, 160 yards on July 11, using a Wilson 6-iron. This is his 4th hole-in-one in the 25 years he has been golfing. The 17th Hole is considered to be the signature hole of the Wailua Golf Course.
Puakea celebrates one year anniversary
LIHU‘E — Puakea Golf Course, Hawai‘i’s newest 18-hole facility announces that it will mark its one-year anniversary with a month-long celebration featuring a number of events and special deals throughout July.
The Family Fun Day is on July 16, specifically geared to families with children of all ages, and will include Aloha Keiki Inflatables, free hot dogs and soda from the grill, specials on draft beer and long drive and putting contests.
Kekaha Pop Warner extends registration
The Kekaha Pop Warner Association will continue to accept registration for their Fall tackle football season on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, through July 29 at the equipment room at the Kekaha Ballpark.
Representatives from the association will be on hand between 5 and 6 p.m. to accept applications as well as answer questions.

Kalawai baseball meeting
The Kalawai Youth Baseball Club is having a general membership meeting on August 5, 7:00 p.m. at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center. All parents, grandparents, guardians, and interested coaches are invited to attend.
Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce golf tourney
The Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce’s Inagural Golf Tournament is set for Sunday, July 18 at the Kaua‘i Lagoons’ Mokihana Course. Entry fee is $95 per player and $500 for the corporate challenge.
Format is individual low net and men and women flights, along with a corporate challenge competition. Sign-in is at 6:30 a.m., with a tee-time for 7:30 a.m. A banquet luncheon follows the tournament with lots of prizes to be given away.
Kapa‘a Pop Warner meeting
The Kapa‘a Pop Warner Association is having a general membership meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Kapa‘a Neighborhood Center. They are also still accepting registrations for the upcoming season.
