Wendell “Black” Ferreira of Kapa‘a, died June 29, 2004, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 65.
He was born July 1, 1938, in Honolulu.
He is survived by his wife: Norene Afong; two sons: Jason Afong and Jacob (Jodi) Afong; two brothers: Berton (Tehanei) Ferreira and Melvin (Patty) Ferreira of Alaska; four sisters: Harriet Hausenritter, Sarah Tatemichi, Annie Lou (Billy) Jackson, and Helen Yuen; five grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, July 16 at 5 p.m. at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel, with memorial service at 6:30 p.m.Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary.
