KALAHEO — Brendan McDaniels came up with a game-high 21 points, and Josh Bradbury finished with 15 points to lead the Waimea Fakers and Kalaheo respectively, setting the stage for the championship showdown on Friday, July 9 starting at 6 p.m. at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
“He had legs, tonight,” Westside Hornet coach Maynard Shea said when he found out that Bradbury came up with the game leading score in their 47-32 win over the Hornets.
Coming off a 21-17 deficit, the Hornets pulled to within two before giving up a dozen easy points as Kalaheo pulled ahead in the third period.

Garrett Sakimae who had just come from the airport after returning from his Jr. Olympics volleyball series in Texas rounded out the effort with four points and Chris Aguilar closing the books with a digit.
Following his closest point in the game, coach Shea said, “Yeah, our boys didn’t have legs (tonight). And, when I saw some of their shots, they didn’t have eyes, either. But, that’s part of the game.”
Vincent Geronimo topped the Hornets scoring with eight points followed by Kyle Achuela adding seven. Kimo Farias, Vincent Vea, and Carlos Walters each finished with four with a final quarter pair by Kalei Char rounding out the Westside effort.

Matthew Koyama’s shoes came in time for the second half where he finished with three, and a pair by Micah Young rounded out the Run-N-Gun efforts.
