The Rookies shut out Kuku’s Aces in a seven inning game, 11-0. The Rookies scored one run in the first inning off three Aces errors and a hit by Nelson Mendonca. In the second inning the Rookies scored four runs off hits by Haru Maeda, Ichi Chiba, Hank Nishikawa, Mike Folster, Ray Espino, Stan Dela Cruz, and Archie Fontanilla combined by a SF from Nelson Mendonca. Three more runs for the Rookies in the fourth inning with Nishikawa and Folster both getting base hits and a SF from Espino allowed Nishikawa to score. Folster then scored on a SF from Mendonca. Dela Cruz followed with a solo HR. The final two runs occurred in the seventh off a single by Richard Vidinha and a HR from Haru Maeda. Winning pitcher for the Rookies was Archie Fontanilla. Big hitters were: Mendonca with 1 for 2, Folster, Dela Cruz and Maeda with 2 or 4, and Nishikawa with 3 for 4. Kuku’s Aces could not rally over seven innings and came up with only six hits and zero runs. Pancho DeCosta went 2 for 3 in this game. Losing pitcher was Stanley Rita.

The final three runs came across in the third inning on base hits from Alfonso and Lucas. Losing pitcher for Kawaihau was Teddy Daligdig. Ron Alfonso hit 2 for 2.
