The game started badly for K-Makule when the first batter for the A’s, Dwight Fujii, was sent to first on a BB. The next batter flew out for out number one, but sticker Tomoo Hiranaka hit a short single to center field to put two men on. The next batter popped up for out two, but the slugger, Isamu Yoshishige, drove a ball up the middle for a two bagger and pocketed two RBI’s with Fujii and Hiranaka scoring. Shige Oshiro then followed with a line shot to left field and in came Yoshishige. Maurice Munechika kept the rally going with a single to center with next batter Herbert Honjo drawing a BB loading the bases. New player Donald Whiting showed his asset with a shot up center scoring both Oshiro and Munechika. In the bottom of the first inning, Ernest Domingo drew a BB and was taken out at second base when Lefty Remata flew out to right for out number one, and Domingo was taken out at second for out number two on a heads up relay by the right fielder to second base.
