NAWILIWILI — More than 50 keiki, ranging in age from 2 to 13 years old took advantage of fine, but windy Father’s Day weather conditions to try and find fish in the brown waters surrounding the Nawiliwili Small Boat Harbor as the Nawiliwili Yacht Club hosted their 5th Annual Father’s Day Keiki Fishing Tournament.
Despite passing showers that only served to keep things cooled down, the youngsters all emerged as winners due to the generosity of community organizations and businesses. Heavy Saturday morning rains had the yard surrounding the NYC Clubhouse submerged for most of Saturday, but by Sunday, the yard had drained off most of the water, although soggy conditions kept anglers on the cement walk.
