HANAPEPE — The Hanapepe Dragons’ pitcher Aaron Medeiros, and Nainoa Nobriga each scored twice as the Dragons broke a 7-4-1 standings with the Koloa Astros to nail down second place on a 9-1 win.
The win sets up the final week of play for the West Kaua‘i baseball league which will close their regular season with games next Saturday.
Rolling behind a two-for-four showing by catcher Stetson Igne, the Dragons limited the Koloa scoring to just Brandon Rivera crossing the plate on an RBI grounder to center by R. Scovel, Rivera getting aboard on a single to center and advancing on two sacrifice plays.
