Alice Scott Anderson
Alice Scott Anderson of Honolulu, died May 24, 2004 at the age of 93.
Born in Lihu’e on Jan. 17, 1911, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by sons, James Anderson of San Francisco and John Anderson of Honolulu; daughter, Patricia Towill of Honolulu; sister, Anna Sloggett of Lihu‘e; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Memorial service was held Friday, May 28, at Arcadia Retirement Residence on O‘ahu. Donations may be made to Arcadia Memorial Irrevocable Trust or one’s favorite charity.
Arrangements were handled by Borthwick Mortuary.
Dennis Thuente
Dennis Thuente of Sun Village, died May 27, 2004, at his home at the age of 68.
Born Feb. 21, 1936, he retired from Delta Construction. He was also a woodworker and made koa bowls after he retired.
He is survived by his wife: Anne Rivera Thuente of Lihu‘e; two daughters: Gail Hancock and Kaylyn Abbott, both of Colorado; two sons: Robert Thuente and Don Thuente, both of Colorado; three stepdaughters: Nalani Stevenson of the Big Island, Dolores White of O‘ahu and Fern White of the Big Island; two sisters: Dolores Holicek and Marie Thuente, both of Minnesota; and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, at Immaculate Conception Church where Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Father Bill.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
