The Lihu‘e Baseball League completed its season recently and 16 player’s were selected for both the Bronco and Mustang all-star squads.
This summer, the Lihu‘e Baseball League’s all-stars will challenge the West Kaua‘i Youth Baseball League’s best for the island’s crown.

Meanwhile, the Lihu‘e Baseball League is having a general membership and election meeting on Thursday, June 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall.

Kaua‘i Junior Golf Classic at Wailua
The Kaua‘i Junior Golf Association held its Kaua‘i Jr. Classic at Wailua Golf Course from May 1-2.
In the 14-18 championship, Sean Ogawa shot a 71 to win his division.
Miki Ueoka continued her hot streak with a 73 and a win in the 14-18 “A” Flight. In the 13-14 boys championship division, Cory Oride came away with the top score of 79. Troy Jacinto shot a 96 to win the 13-14 boys “A” Flight. The 11-12 boys “A” Flight, Kyle Furusho picked up the win with a 91. Nathan Wong walked away with the 12 and under “A” Flight with a 104. The 12 and under “B” Flight title went to Jaymee Acoba with a 113. Kelli Oride came in first for the 12 and under girls “A” Flight with an 88 and Kaiton Sawaida tore up the course with a 74 and won the nine holes Jr. Tees division.

National Youth Sports Program
The National Youth Sports Program is coming to Kaua‘i from June 18 to July 23 at the Kaua‘i Community College campus, Lydgate Park, and Kalawai Park.
Registration is going on now until June 9 and space is limited. The program is open to youths between the ages of 10 to 16.
Activities include swimming, basketball, volleyball, football, softball, tennis, track, hula, and others.
Discussion topics include alcohol and drug abuse prevention,
