Final week for flag football signups
The Kaua‘i Police Activities League (K-PAL) will have its final week of flag football and cheerleading signups this week for youth between 5 and 12 years old.
It is important to make sure you register now as there will be no late registrations after this week.
Locations for registration will be at Anahola Park on Wednesday and Thursday from 5 to 6 p.m, Kapa‘a Ball Park on Thursday from 5 to 6 p.m., Isenberg Park on Thursday and Friday from 5 to 6 p.m.
Koloa registration will take place Wednesday and Thursday from 5 to 6 p.m., and Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Koloa Ball Park.
Hanapepe registration is at the Hanapepe Ball Park on Wednesday only from 5 to 6 p.m.
Waimea Canyon Park will be open to applicants from 5 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and registration at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center is on Wednesday only from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m.

Frank Sullivan gets hole in one
Frank Sullivan of Lihu‘e carded a hole-in-one at the Mokihana Course at Kaua‘i Lagoons’ Hole #11 on Tuesday.
Using a 5 Iron off the white tee, Sullivan pulled off the 171-yard feat before Don Figone, Bob Lom, and Charles Levin.
This is Sullivan’s first hole in one, and Sullivan said, “It’s like pitching a no-hitter.” Sullivan said the feat was a seventy-four year old kid trying to impress three friends from San Francisco.
KSA Drug Training on Thursday
The Kaua‘i Soccer Association (KSA) in conjunction with the office of the mayor is holding drug awareness training.
The training is manadatory for all KSA coaches and assistant coaches.
It is also open to all parents and coaches of all sports.
Thursday, April 29 is the date for the drug awareness training program that will be held at the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School cafeteria starting at 7 p.m.
Keynote speaker will be Gary Shimabukuro.

Kanna Scholarship Foundation Golf Tourney on May 8
The Second Annual George A. Kanna Scholarship Foundation Golf Tournament will be held on May 8 at the Wailua Golf Course.
Please note that registration starts at 6 a.m. with a Shotgun start starting at 7 a.m.
A banquet will follow at the 19th Hole Restaurant at the Wailua Golf Course.
Through the support shown for the First George A. Kanna Scholarship Foundation Golf Tournament, the foundation was able to present graduating seniors with three scholarships last year.
