Alfredo Cadiz
Alfredo R. Cadiz of Koloa, died Feb. 18, 2004, at Queen’s Hospital at the age of 71.
Born Sept. 15, 1932, in the Philippines, he was a laborer.
He is survived by his wife, Esmeralda Cadiz; two sons, Ferdinand Ray Cadiz and Byron Cadiz; one sister, Paz Labasan; two granddaughters, Chrisha and Briannah Cadiz; nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may visit with the family at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, at St. Raphael’s church in Koloa on Feb. 28, where Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Raphael’s Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua‘i Mortuary.
Harry Hadama
Harry I. Hadama of Koloa died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Feb. 19, 2004 at the age of 74.
Born in Koloa, Kaua‘i on July 15, 1929, he was the proprietor of Hadama Service.
He is survived by wife, Satomi; son, Burt (Annette) Hadama of ‘Oma‘o; daughter, Lauren (Keith) Sugihara of Lihu‘e; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Clarke (Cely) Hadama; and sister, Jane Hadama.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Kukui’ula Small Boat Harbor in Koloa; ashes will be scattered following the service. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Jenni Rae McIntyre
Jenni Rae McIntyre of Kihei, Maui, died Feb. 19, 2004, at Maui Memorial Medical Center at the age of 26.
She was born Sept. 27, 1977, in Missouri.
She is survived by her mother, Glorian Duarte Ventgen; brothers, Richard (Jodi) Alao; Wade Alao and Dee, and Raymond; sister, Carrie McIntyre and Jason; grandmother, Margaret C. Duarte; nieces Tory and Tyra Alao; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 28, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa at 9 a.m. with prayer services at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Lihue Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kauai Mortuary.
Takeo Toguchi
Takeo Toguchi of Kapa‘a, died Feb. 19, 2004, at his home in Kapa‘a at the age of 86.
A maintenance worker for the state of Hawai‘i, he was born Aug. 25, 1917, in Koloa, Kaua‘i.
He is survived by two sons: Thomas T. Toguchi of San Antonio, James T. Toguchi of Kapa‘a; one brother: Roy B. (Hilda) Toguchi of Honolulu; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Kapaa Jodo Mission Church at 2 p.m.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and suggests casual attire.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
Richard S. Padilla
Richard S. Padilla of Lihu‘e, died Feb. 23, 2004, at Wilcox Hospital at the age of 57.
Born Feb. 19, 1947, he was the proprietor of a landscaping business. He also worked with vocational rehabilitation at Kaua‘i Community College’s agriculture department.
He is survived by his mother Carrie Padilla, one sister, Margie (Cecil) Baltierra, of Pleasanton, Calif.; daughters Gina Padilla of Oakland, Calif., Shyla (Richard) C. Colipano; sons Justin “Kalani” (Kanani) Morikawa; Jason “Kekoa” (Christina) Padilla; Paul Kaipo Pomaikai, Yasumori Pomaikai; four grandsons and five granddaughters, their mother, Eiko Pomaikai and grandmother, Alice Morikawa; and numerous relatives on the mainland.
A gathering will be held at Hanama‘ulu Beach Park at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27.
