Registration forms for the 21st Annual Keiki Fun Run are now available at the YMCA of Kaua’i.
Youngsters between the ages of 3 to 17 years of age are eligible to participate in this event that is hosted by the East Kaua’i Y’s Men and the YM CA of Kaua’i.
Runners below the age of 6 must be accompanied by a parent or an assigned adult in order to participate in the Run that starts at 8 a.m. on the grounds of the Kilohana Estate in Puhi.
Awards and ribbons will be awarded to the winner in each age group for both the 1- and 2-mile courses.
Additionally, Youth Run tee-shirts and refreshments will be available to all participants along with an opportunity to win a variety of prizes including a pair of bicycles which will be given away following the Run.
A pre-registration fee of $6 per child must accompany the registration form that is available from the YMCA of Kaua’i, P.O. Box 1786, Lihu’e, HI 96766.
Late entries will be accepted on the morning of the race, no later than 7:30 a.m.
Parents may run along with their youngster if they wish, but this request must be made prior to the Run.
Run organizers also suggest that rain gear be brought along as a precautionary measure.
