The county of Kaua‘i, Recreation Agency would like to welcome all youth basketball players and coaches to attend a free basketball clinic on Saturday, Jan. 10 at the Kapa‘a High School Bernice Hundley Gym.
This clinic will be conducted by former University of Hawai‘i at Hilo Vulcan basketball coach Jimmy Yagi.
Yagi will be assisted by several outstanding Big Island high school coaches for the clinic that is open to both boys and girls.
The morning session is for players 9 to 13 years of age with registration starting at 8:30 a.m. The clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Players from 14 to 18 years old will have the afternoon session with registration starting at 1:15 p.m. The clinic will run from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
Coaches from both the community leagues as well as high schools will have an opportunity to work with coach Yagi from 4 to 7 p.m.
All participants should wear basketball attire for the clinic.
