Victoria Almonte Espino of Kapa’a, died at Wahiawa General Hospital on Dec. 1, 2003 at the age of 94.
Born in San Nicolas, Philippines on Nov.15, 1909, she is survived by three sons, Placido (Esther) Espino Jr. of Makakilo, O’ahu, Raymond (Carol) Espino of Kaumakani and Anthony (Helen) Espino of Philippines; seven daughters, Rosaline Caluya of Pearl City, O’ahu, Mercedes (Andy) Gorospe of Pearl City, O’ahu, Julia McCullen of Honolulu, O’ahu, Alfonza Maligro of Honolulu, O’ahu, Juana (Bestre) Domingo of Kekaha, Geraldine (Elisio) Dureg of Waipahu, O’ahu and Diane (Julian) Esdicul of Mililani, O’ahu; sister, Virginia Savella of Oakland, Calif.; 46 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and 31 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, at the St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Kapa’a; eulogy at 10:45; mass at 11 a.m., followed by burial at St. Catherine’s church cemetery in Kealia. Casual attire is suggested.
