Girls 12U hoops registration starts
The 2003-04 County of Kaua’i Agency on Recreation will have registration for the Girls 12 and Under basketball program starting on Monday, Nov. 24 through Friday, Dec. 12.
The age determining date for participants is the age they will be on Dec. 31.
Applications are available at all neighborhood centers on the island.
A coaches meeting for the Girls 12 and Under program will take place on Dec. 18 at the Lihu’e Civic Center starting at 7 p.m.

Kirk Banks tryouts coming up Dec. 7
Tryouts for the girls under-14 Kirk Banks Tournament for AYSO Region 941 is to be held on Dec. 7 and 14 at Anahola Village Park from 2-4 p.m. Any players wishing to try out for the tournament are to bring their own soccer ball. Lihu’e Baseball League needs ad sponsors
The Lihue Baseball League is offering advertisement sign banners, which can be purchased to help support the league.
The LBL teaches youth ages 5-12 and their families the lessons of teamwork, leadership, playing by the rules and good work habits through baseball, in efforts to keep children occupied in healthful activities aimed at avoiding destructive influences of drugs, gangs, alcohol and substance abuse.
Banners are 3 by 8 feet and made of vinyl, with two colors featuring your company name and phone number. They will be displayed from January to July at the Lihue Baseball outfield fence. The deadline is Dec. 1.

YMCA roller hockey signups on now
Registration for the YMCA of Kauai Roller Hockey League’s 2004 season is starting. The league is open to boys and girls ages 6-17, with or without previous experience. League play will begin in Jan. 2004. Call 245-3358 for registration forms.
