An online survey of Travel & Leisure Golf magazine readers revealed that their favorite place to play in Hawai‘i is the Princeville Resort.
The golf resort, named Hawai‘i’s top golf resort by magazine readers, also was rated number one by readers in the categories of course conditions, staff attitude and pace of play.
Travel & Leisure Golf writers described the Princeville golf experience in this way: “Built on a verdant bluff on Kaua‘i’s North Shore (where ‘South Pacific’ was shot), with the legendary peak of Bali Hai on the horizon, the resort captures the grandeur of the island’s landforms and seascapes in its public spaces.
“The Prince course, one of Hawai‘i’s finest, is a tour de force by Robert Trent Jones Jr., laid across rolling tableland creased by jungle ravines, the blue Pacific on one side, and waterfall-streaked peaks on the other,” the Web site gushed.
