Plastics recycling event Saturday

The Kauai Plastic Recycling Project, a network of volunteers, businesses, community-service organizations and government leaders, hosts a plastics recycling event for businesses and residents this Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Waimea Canyon School’s parking lot.

Accepted will be rinsed and dried number 1 and 2 plastic containers, without lids, and number 2 and 4 plastic bags.

Recyclers are asked to separate bags from containers. For more information or to volunteer, please call Maurizia Zanin, 635-8049.
