Kapa‘a, Island School split riflery

KAPA‘A — Joel Miyashiro led the Kapa‘a High School boys riflery team to a 1036-916 win over the Island School Navigators on Thursday as the hosting Warriors posted a split with the Navigators.

Miyashiro, who was outshot by fellow Warrior Whitney Haraguchi in the Standing position, posted a high 216 points followed by Haraguchi and Reyn Mossman who finished with 210 points each in the win.

Brian O’Brien was the sole Navigator to break the 200-mark, finishing with 212 in the loss.

Tesla Teitge led the Navigators to a 1040-964 win over the Warrior wahine who were led by Reena Montero.

Teitge, finishing with a 219, tied Warrior Crystal Dawson in the Prone position (86) and the Kneeling position (68), but soared ahead in the Standing position 65-38.

Dawson ended the day with a 192 for a third place amongst the Warriors who were led by Reena Montero’s 203, and followed two points back by Britney Sutton.
