3 Waimea football players suspended

Three Waimea High School football players were suspended from the team on Friday, Sept. 19 for violating school rules, said Daniel Hamada, the state Department of Education Kaua‘i complex area superintendent. “Three students violated a school rule. They were disciplined,

“Three students violated a school rule. They were disciplined, and part of it is they are not on the team,” said Hamada, adding that because of severity of the infraction, they will not be on the team for the remainder of the season.

Hamada refused to comment on which specific infraction was broken by the three students.
