Northbrook, IL — Shell Vacations Hawai‘i region has set an all-time regional record during the month of July by completing over $5 million in net sales at high closing percentages and profitable volume per guest (VPG) rates at all three of it’s Hawai‘i sales centers.
Under the guidance of Shell Vacations Club (SVC) Regional Director Robert L. Foster, RRP, the Kona Coast sales team sold over $2,500,000 in July, just two months after the opening of its new sales center.
Led by Director of Sales Mary Bowling, the Kona Coast team closed at the rate of just below 20 percent with VPG’s at record levels.
The Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy also sold over $2 million of SVC product during July, with similar performance under the leadership of Matt Ozelie, the Director of sales at the Kaua‘i resort.
Additionally, the company’s Mau‘i Offsite Preview Center completed nearly three quarters of a million in sales.
Sean White is Director of Sales for the Maui sales center and Will Leonard is Regional Marketing Director for Hawai‘i.
Adds Foster, “This year’s sales exceeds our previous highest month (in July of 2002) by about $700,000, when the Hawai‘i region sold about $3.8 million in vacation ownership sales. Not only did we write the business at an amazing pace, but we were also tremendously profitable.”
Simon Crawford-Welch, Executive VP of Sales & Marketing commented, “The achievements in Hawai‘i are indicative of the talent, professionalism and commitment of everyone on the Hawaiian team, from marketing to sales and hospitality. We extend our sincere congratulations to all Shell employees within the Hawai‘i region.
In addition to their sales and hospitality skills, much of their success has been due to an increased number of tours, better sales facilities and a stronger focus on selling points.”
Shell Vacations Club Hawaii also achieved the highest net sales volume for any region within the company during 2002 with a net sales volume for the year of just under $35 million.
During the past 14 years, Shell Vacations has developed or been responsible for the sales and marketing of six Hawaiian resorts and is currently selling its Shell Vacations Club product at The Holua Resort on The Big Island, and the Kauai Coast Resort on Kaua‘i.
An offsite preview center opened last year in Maui.
