Rita Villon

Rita Alayvilla Villon of Hanama‘ulu, died at Kahului, Maui on August 20, 2003 at the age of 87.

Born in Lapog Ilocos Sur, Philippines on May 19, 1916, she was a retired field laborer for Lihue Plantation.

Preceded in death by husband Pedro F. Villon, she is survived by three daughters, Anunciacion Martinez of Philippines, Julie (Larry) Bernades of Maui, Mercie (Randy) Streeter, California; four sons, Floresto Vic (Lagrimas) Villon of Lihu‘e, Atelano (Rose) Villon of Korea, Jaime (Laverne) Villon Sr., of Hanama‘ulu, Rudy Villon of Hanama‘ulu; 27 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Sept. 5, at 4868 Laukona St. in Hanama‘ulu from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Rosary at 8 p.m. and again on Saturday, Sept. 6, at Immaculate Conception Church from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. where mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.

Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
