Custom Limo breaks Rainbow’s winning streak
Rainbow Sports 7, Custom Limo 9
Rainbow Sports came up with 16 hits, but Custom Limo capitalized on their nine hits to break the Rainbow win streak 9-7 in H.G.E.A. softball played Aug. 28 at Isenberg Field.
Didi Ibia who picked up the win for Custom Limo on the hill, also drove in a pair of RBI on his single as did Sia Salausa who drove in another pair of RBI on his single.
Sam Dias finished with a pair of singles along with Mike Soong, and five Custom Limo hitters each notched one hit each in the win.
Norman Holt was strapped with the Rainbow loss, allowing nine hits on seven walks with a strikeout.
Kelly Robinson had the big bat for Rainbow with an RBI on three singles. Royce Ijima and Wendell Nonaka each finished with an RBI on a pair of singles.
Norman Holt, Jr. banged a single and a double, and seven Rainbow hitters were credited with hits in the loss.
Hard Knocks 13, Nogi’s 8
Bobby Texeira drove in three RBIs on a pair of singles as Hard Knocks piled up 21 hits in their 13-8 win over Nogi’s, who finished up with 20 hits in their loss.
Kaina McCullum, who drove in the winning run, and Kemo Texeira each notched a pair of RBI on three singles, and Nelson Panit had an RBI on a pair of singles in the win.
Corey Rego and Richard Drapesa each had three singles, and Bryson Ponce finished with a pair of singles to round out the Hard Knocks’ bats.
Ronnie Matsumura led Nogi’s with a pair of RBI on three singles, with Reid Tanita, Tommy Cox, and Steven Mardonada each driving in an RBI in the loss.
Gordon Tamura finished with three singles with Scott Ebesu rounding out the hitting with a pair of singles in the loss.
Rego picked up the Hard Knocks’ win with a pair of walks and no strikeouts.
Kyle Nakagawa suffered the loss with a pair of walks and no strikeouts.
KFD 15, Hana Hou 1
Corey Sakai and Miles Ballis led KFD with a pair of RBI on three singles as KFD exploded for 15 runs in their win over Hana Hou.
Dodd Apao finished with a pair of RBI on a single with Dan Hirata and Frank Subee each driving in runs on a pair of singles.
Cling Fujii finished with a double and a single to round out the KFD bats.
Gregg Morishige picked up the win for KFD allowing just three hits on no walks and no strikeouts.
Brenn Nakaahiki suffered the loss for Hana Hou.
