Motocross this weekend at Wailua

Paul and Brian Medeiros, a father-and-son team, will be one of the 60 Kaua‘i riders participating in a two-day Labor Day MotoCross event at the Wailua track starting Saturday.

In addition to Kaua‘i riders, organizers anticipate a dozen riders winging in from O‘ahu, another dozen from the Big Island, and yet another dozen from Maui to compete in the event.

Four riders from Guam are also expected to be part of the competition.

Medeiros said Saturday’s events will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with Sunday’s events kicking off at 8 a.m.

Plate lunches and cold drinks will be available at the track.

There is a $5 admission fee for each day’s event.
