Jeanne Warburton a.k.a. “Jeanne Lyons” of Lawa‘i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on August 20, 2003 at the age of 53.
Born in Iowa on August 30, 1949, she was a teacher for Koloa School.
She is survived by her husband, Ranney Warburton of Lawa‘i; mother, Mary Rubin of Iowa; brother, Ron (Karen) Rubin of Iowa, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, August 30, at Kauai Christian Fellowship Church, on Koloa Bypass Road where a memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Casual attire is suggested, and flowers omitted.
Donations may be made to Jeanne Warburton Memorial Literacy Fund c/o First Hawaiian Bank, P.O. Box 250, Koloa, HI 96756.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Verna Mickens of Kapa‘a, died at her residence on August 21, 2003 at the age of 96.
Born in Utah on February 18, 1907, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her two sons, Glenn (Ruth) Mickens of Kapa‘a, Richard (Doreen) Mickens of California; 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-granchildren.
Tuesday, Aug. 26, services were held at Kapa‘a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Arrangements were handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
