Sept. 6-7 with alternate dates of Sept. 13-14 have been scheduled for the Progressive Expressions Contest No. 1 at Prince Kuhio Beach in Poipu.
The meet is the season opener for the H.S.F./Y.M.C.A. Kaua‘i 2003-04 season. Divisions include Menehune (11 & Under), Boys, 12-14, Junior Men’s, 15-17, Open Men’s, 18-24, Girls, 17 & Under, Longboards, Open (6 slots), Boys Bodyboard (14 & Under), Junior Bodyboard, 15-17, Women 17 & Over, Masters 25-34, and Senior Men 35 & Over (6 slots)
Entry fee is $20 for H.S.F. members with $10 for each additional division. Beach Entry fee is $25 with $15 for each additional division, and non-member entry fee is $30 with $15 for each additional division.
The H.S.F./Y.M.C.A. season continues with the second contest scheduled for Pine Trees in Hanalei on Nov. 1-2 with alternate dates of Nov. 8-9, the First Ditch in Kekaha with an alternate site of Davidsons on Jan. 4-5, 2004 with alternate dates of Jan. 11-12.
The fourth contest of the year moves to Kealia Beach on Mar. 27-28 with alternate dates of Apr. 3-4, followed by another meet at Prince Kuhio on May 10-11 with alternate dates of May 17-18.
The state championships will be held in June, 2004.
