Workwise Job Fair draws large turnout of jobseekers

LIHU‘E — Some 60 employers set up informational booth at the 2003 Job Fair held Saturday at the Kukui Grove Shopping Center.

The event was jammed with job seekers and coordinated by the State of Hawai‘i’s Department of Labor and Industrial Relations’ Workwise program.

Some companies were handing out and accepting applications for jobs, while others provided information about job and career opportunities.

New Kaua‘i businesses included Jamba Juice/Starbucks Coffee.

Home Depot, another new employer, was also on hand with information, but will accept employment applications on August 18 at their new store starting at 8 a.m.
