It’s been a little over nine years since the airing of what was “then” Wala‘au with Dickie Chang. Wala‘au with Dickie Chang has been a part of, and a partner of, the island of Kaua‘i and the community since May of 1994.
More than a thousand segments featuring community events, not for profit charities, and human-interest stories have been televised.
To celebrate the nine years on the air a golf tournament will be held at the brand new 18-hole Puakea Golf Course July 27 at 7 a.m. Space is limited, so if you are able to put a team together for this “Just for Fun, Fundraising Tournament” fax in your information to (808) 246-8834.
If you’re not able to play we ask you to consider a hole sponsorship and a prize donation. Funds raised will be used to replace old and outdated equipment and cover mandatory cable broadcast insurance.
Portions of the proceeds will also be donated to the Hawai‘i Hotel Association-Kaua‘i Chapter’s Visitor Industry Charity Walk 2003. This organization helps to annual support over 20 of Kaua‘i’s vital non-profit agencies. For more info, call Dickie Chang 245-5782, Kelly Hoen 826-9644, Kellie Pleas 245-8756, or Larry Lee 246-8834.
