Jonnie Lee McCarroll of ‘Ele‘ele died at UCLA Medical Center on June 26, 2003 at the age of 51.
Born in Washington D.C., on June 20, 1952, he was a Power Engineer.
He is survived by his fiancé, Dianne McCarthy; mother, Dorothy McCarroll; two sons, Ian McCarroll, Jonathan McCarroll, three sisters, Selina James, Sylvia Jacobs, Lucinda Burkhart;

Beatrice Nawanao
Beatrice Castillo Primero Nawanao of Lihu‘e died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on July 7, 2003 at the age of 80.
Born in Wailua on December 18, 1922, she was a processor for the Kapa‘a Cannery and later retired as a housekeeper from Woolworth’s Department Store.
She is survived by her son, Felix (Guillermina) Primero of Anaheim, California; three daughters, Linda Lopez of Hilo, Patricia (Javone) Beach of Kileen, Texas, Beverly Primero of Lihu‘e; hanai daughter, Evajoy (Leslie) Peru of Kilauea; two sisters, Marie Eggleston of Arizona, Elizabeth Castillo of Honolulu; two brothers, Hubert (Pearl) Castillo of Honolulu, Sonny (Chiyoko) Castillo of California; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, July 15, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Church where service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Aloha attire is suggested.

Tsutomu Fukushima
Tsutomu “Tom” Fukushima of Oma‘o, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on June 24, 2003, at the age of 91.
Born in Honolulu on December 1, 1911, he was a brewer.
He is survived by two daughters, Amy Oshiro and Dora Lane; son, Roland Fukushima; two brothers, Kunio “Fred” Fukushima and Chester Akira Fukushima, 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, July 20, at Honolulu Borthwick Makai Chapel from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. where memorial services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Libert Naka‘ahiki
Libert Kanialama Naka‘ahiki Sr. of Lihu‘e, died at home on July 6, 2003 at the age of 81.
Born in Kekaha, on Feb. 3, 1922, he was a Project Engineer with Princeville Corp.
Preceded in death by son, Libert Naka‘ahiki, Jr., he is survived by wife, Mary; three sons, Wilbert (Edna) Naka‘ahiki of Los Angeles, CA., Wilfred (Barbara) Naka‘ahiki of Kailua-Kona and Patrick Naka‘ahiki of Kapa‘a; daughter, Victoria Victorino of Kailua-Kona; brother, Benjamin Naka’ahiki Sr. of Kekaha; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 11, at the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Lihu‘e Ward; service officiated by Brother Todd Young will begin at 10 a.m. Followed by burial at the Kauai Memorial Gardens. Aloha attire is suggested.

Ernesto Agustinez of Hanapepe died at his residence on July 3, 2003 at the age of 63.
Born in the Philippines on September 9, 1939, he was a laborer.
He is survived by his sister, Francisca (Claudolfo) Pasion of Hanapepe; brother, Antonio (Marrieta) Agustinez of Kaumakani; sister-in-law, Eliza Acoba Agustinez of Puhi; brother-in-law, Francisco Padron of the Philippines, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 11, at St. Paul’s Church in ‘Ele‘ele from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Francisco Ceballos Jr.
Francisco Ceballos Jr. of Waimea, died at his home in Silverton, Oregon on July 6, 2003 at the age of 60.
Born in Waimea on June 5, 1943, he attended and graduated from St. Theresa Catholic School, Waimea High School and Chaminade College in Honolulu. Served in the United States Navy, he was a Vietnam Veteran.
Preceded in death by his dad, Francisco Sr. He is survived by his wife, Sandy; step-daughter, Raelene; step-son Ron; mother, Lucy of Kalaheo; three brothers, Donald (Mai) of San Clemente, California, Glenn (Mona) of Anaheim, California, Errol (Rose) of Kalaheo, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, July 14, 9 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo where services will be held at 10 a.m. and burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Patrick Wayne Silva, Jr. of Kekaha died on July 5, 2003, at the age of 35.
Born in Lihu‘e on September 19, 1968, he was a construction worker.
He is survived by his fiancé, Renae Waalani; children, Haku Lee, hanai daughter, Rosey Prem, Ikaika and Janae Lazaro; mother, Mary K. Mira of Kekaha; father, Patrick (Connie) Silva, Sr. of Honolulu; sisters, Anchala Kealoha of Honolulu, Marie Silva of Missouri, Talma (Eaton Rivera) Silva of Kekaha, Lisa Santos of Honolulu, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
