Big D’ cruise past Magic 2

KALAHEO — The Kapaa Big “D” took a 44-10 win over the Magic 2 in a girls 10 and under KYBA game at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center on Wednesday.

Maluhia States scores 21 points for Kapaa while Coby Smith added five for the Magic 2.

The Westside Hornets took a 28-20 win over Kanu with Tonisha DeFabian totaling 10 points for the Hornets.

In the final game, the Magic 1 beat the Lihue Sparks 32-12 with Kalen Kimura pouring in eight points for the Magic 1 while Jennifer Grady and Kelsey Cadiente combined for 12 points for the Sparks.

Canoe event runs today

The Hawaii Modular Space OHCRA Regatta Series Outrigger Canoe Club’s McFarlane Regatta located in Waikiki will run today 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

See over 2,000 of the top paddlers of all ages race in 6-man outrigger canoes. Free for spectators. For more information, call 259-7112.
