The “Golf Club” radio show is making the move to Kauai’s KTOH – FM 99.9 on Saturday.
The Golf Club executive producer said, “It just seemed the right fit for our all golf show to be on KTOH.”
The Golf Club radio show, hosted and produced by Danielle Tucker, is already in its fifth year.
The show, broadcast every Saturday morning from 7-8:30 a.m., started out on one Oahu station five years ago.
Today the show is heard simultaneously on four stations in Hawaii, covering all of the Hawaiian islands.
Tucker said “It’s a real treat to talk about golf on all of the islands and have listeners call in from all the islands to win prizes. Once we had a caller from Kauai who won a golf lesson on Maui. Or the folks on Kauai who won the Titleist PV golf balls and the visitors on Maui who won a couple rounds at The Dunes at Maui Lani and all nine of them played.
The course gave away two rounds to our winners, and 7 paying customers came along with them. Can’t beat that.”
The Golf Club radio show provides available tee times around the state, the golf leaderboards and scores from the tours around the world and in Hawaii, tips on golf from local pros, national authors and sports “shrinks” covering topics ranging from sports injuries to mastering the mental game to the dreaded “yips”.
If you don’t know what that word means and you play golf, you don’t want to know.
The Golf Club covers all the majors, live from the site, here in Hawaii, whether it’s The Grand Slam, the Pearl Open, the Jenny K, or the Mercedes Championships.
