Lt. Governor gives keynote speech at Kauai High School’s graduation

LIHUE – About 240 Kauai High School graduates, their families and friends, gathered at Vidinha Stadium on Friday evening to receive their long-awaited diplomas and to hear a key-note address by Lt. Gov. Duke Aiona. Mayor Bryan Baptiste and Sherwood Hara, the Kauai representative on the Board of Education, attended the graduation.

Aiona spoke about the opportunities awaiting the graduates as they leave high school and head on to new endeavors.

The school sponsored a “Project Grad” party following the graduation, to keep the students off the streets, but also allowing them to have a fun and memorable night in a hotel ballroom.
