Toyota helps schools through van sales

Now through the end of November, people purchasing a 2004 Toyota Sienna minivan from Kauai Toyota will also have an opportunity to help the teacher, student or school of their choice to get school supplies.

Toyota’s On Board for Education program offers a gift of $200 worth of school supplies from Education Works Hawaii to the purchaser of each 2004 Sienna.

The certificates given to each buyer can go to a favorite student, teacher or school, be kept by the buyer, or donated by the buyer or Toyota representatives to a school, student or teacher, said Lance Ichimura, vice president of Servco Pacific, Inc., the Hawaii Toyota distributor.

“We know many teachers pay for teaching supplies out of their own pockets, and this is a way that our company and our customers can show our appreciation to those hard-working teachers and their students,” he said.

Shopping can be done at either the Education Works store at 2850 Pukoloa St., Suite 103 in Mapunapuna on Oahu (1-808-564-2775), or online at www.educationworkshawaii.com. Customers without Internet access can order through the Education Works catalog. Please call toll-free 1-800-573-3822 to request a catalog.

Education Works Hawaii, also a Servco Pacific company, is Hawaii’s largest and most complete school supplies superstore, offering classroom supplies, teaching materials, school uniforms, educational toys and games, and more.
