William Keale, Alvin Fukushima


William Keale

William Jacob Kealohaokamakualani Keale of Anahola, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 24, 2003, at the age of 40.

Born in Waimea, on November 11, 1962, he was a deacon of Ke Akua Mana Church.

He is survived by his parents: Rev. Moses and Elaine Keale Jr. of Anahola; girlfriend, Kara Shiraki of Kapa’a; hanai brother, William Moses Kamala of Anahola; grandmother, Mary Petersen of Honolulu; extended family, German and Libby Oyamot and children of Makaweli; numerous aunties, uncles and cousins.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 8, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lihu’e Veterans Center. Services with Rev. Wayne Vidinha of Ke Akua Mana Church will begin at 10 a.m. Private burial will follow.

Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.


Alvin Fukushima

Alvin K. Fukushima of Waimea, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 30, 2003 at the age of 55. Born in Lihu’e, on February 1, 1948, a Veteran with the U.S. Army, he was a Draftsman with the County Planning Dept.

He is preceded in death by his father, Katsuyuki Fukushima. He is survived by wife, Claire Ueno of Waimea; mother, Matsue Fukushima of Lihue; brothers, Dennis (Jerilyn) Fukushima of Lihue, Calvin (Rowena) Fukushima of Lihue, Bernard Fukushima of Kapaa and Eugene Noel Fukushima of Lihue; sister, Joy (Randall) Goto of Lihue; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may visit with the family at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery Pavilion; service officiated by Pastor Ryan Claytor will begin at 2:30 p.m. Interment to follow. Casual attire is suggested.

Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
