Kenneth “Jits” Yamauchi of Kalaheo, died at home on April 28, 2003 at the age of 69.
Born in Waimea, on September 4, 1933, he was a Retired Building Inspector with the State of Hawai’i.
He is survived by son, Kent (Carlynn) Yamauchi of Oma’o; daughters, Debbie Watts of Hanapepe, Lisa (Kelly) Ka’auwai of Anahola and Cathy (Eric) Shibuya of Puhi; mother, Chiyoko Yamauchi; brother, Sam (Loretta) Yamauchi of CA.; sister, Mildred (Clyde) Kawamoto of O’ahu; 7 grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2003 at the Kalaheo Missionary Church; service officiated by Pastor Butch Kahawai will begin at 4 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Alvin Fukushima
Alvin K. Fukushima of Waimea, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 30, 2003 at the age of 55. Born in Lihu’e, on February 1, 1948, he was a Draftsman with the County Planning Dept.
He is preceded in death by his father, Katsuyuki Fukushima. He is survived by wife, Claire Ueno of Waimea; mother, Matsue Fukushima of Lihue; brothers, Dennis (Jerilyn) Fukushima of Lihue, Calvin (Rowena) Fukushima of Lihue, Bernard Fukushima of Kapaa and Eugene Noel Fukushima of Lihue; sister, Joy (Randall) Goto of Lihue; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery Pavilion; service officiated by Pastor Ryan Claytor will begin at 2:30 p.m. Interment to follow. Casual attire is suggested.

Edwina Takahashi
Edwina “Aunty Pua” Takahashi of Kekaha died at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital on May 1, 2003, at the age of 70.
Born in Kekaha, Kauai on Nov. 12, 1932, she was a retired employee with Kekaha Sugar Co.
She is survived by husband, Bishop Tom Takahashi; daughters, Kealoha Takahashi of Kekaha and Reiko (Jerrie) Louis of Hanapepe; grandson, Justin Riley Louis; sisters, Ulu (Ed) Edwards of Kekaha and Aloha (Tauveve) Fanene of San Leandro, CA.; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Wed. May 7, at the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Kekaha Ward; service officiated by Derik Akita will begin at 11 a.m. Followed by burial at the Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.
