Kapa’a resident Donald Hugh Hardesty, Jr., who was reported missing on Christmas Day, was located by police in Honolulu after using his EBT card at Safeway on Beretania Street and a 711 on Ala Moana Boulevard.
After he was located, police learned that Hardesty had called his caretaker who traveled to O’ahu to meet and accompany him back home. Hardesty resides with his caretaker in Kapa’a.
Christopher Malana Bacsian, 32, of Leleiona Street in Lihu’e is still missing. Bacsian was last seen on December 23 at 1 a.m. walking towards the Lihue Plantation mill on Haleko Street.
Bacsian suffers from mental illness and requires medication. He weighs approximately 200 pounds, is six-feet tall and has a fair complexion. He was barefooted when he left home and was last seen wearing brown shorts and a brown striped polo shirt. Bacsian also wears glasses.
