Allen ‘Moose’ Lopez

Allen “Moose” Lopez, formerly of Kealia, Kaua’i, died in Santa Rosa, Calif. on Jan. 10, 2003, at the age of 51.

A self-employed plumber, he is survived by his parents, Helena (Contrado) Dabin Acierto, Frederico (Chris) Lopez, daughter Elizabeth “Kapeka” Lopez, son Kailani Lopez, stepdaughter Maya Sullivan, five brothers: Ali (Nadine) Birtodaso, Garrick Lopez, Ronald (Jeanette) Lopez, Joe (Lihue) Lopez, Edmund “Eddie” Acierto; four sisters: Kathlyn Lopez of Seattle, Wash., Melissa (Joe) Caranno, Esther (Raynard) Machado, Bernadette (Shilo) Pa; stepbrothers: Timmy Laranio (Anna), Wayne Laranio (Leilani); stepsisters: April Rellin, Sheila (Ralph) Schmarge, Carmela Cabacungan, Novella Laranio. Lopez is survived by 29 nieces and nephews, 14 grand nephews and nieces, and 1 great grandnephew.

Family and friends may gather for a Celebration of Life scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 25, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kealia Beach with reception to follow. For information, contact Ali Birtodaso at 335-5397 or Bernie Pa at 822-7105.
